Because of the potential value, HGH has been the focus of numerous studies, over 20,000 in over the last 50 years. In those studies, it has been shown that HGH used for those deficient has been found to be remarkably safe.
Like any prescription medication, there is a list of known side effects but the benefits to a man or woman’s hormone health outweigh the side effects. The noted side effects are some short-lived fluid retention, painful wrists and elevated blood sugar levels. The general response to this sort of side effect, is again the same as most medications, temporarily reduce the dose.
Scientists are still trying to find an association with cancer but to date there is no evidence that taking HGH supplementation in reasonable doses is associated with an increase of cancer incidence.
So for now we focus on what it Human Growth Hormone can help with.
Known Benefits of HGH Therapy (Human Growth Hormone Replacement):

Review: It is interesting to see the battle that some groups take the time to deploy against anti-aging clinics, HGH and hormone replacement therapy. Cost? in my opinion is less expensive than regular medicine. Side effects or risks?! Any person that reads about the medicines he takes after 50 would prefer to take any hormone. Most medicines fix one thing while damaging other. I am 50 and started taking blood thinners and beta blockers. I am quite healthy for my age but can see how these medicines are making me older at a fast pace. Weakness, loss of libido, loss of muscle mass, loss of hair and more… all started a few months after taking these FDA approved medicines. Nothing comes free of risk. Why this battle against HGH and other bio-identical replacement hormones? There must be reasons that we do not know since opponents use ridiculous comments such as cost and risks: Regular medicine cost is even higher and risks really scary and visible. I have a college degree, not involved in politics and not in the health business, but as an objective consumer all this sounds like a simple conspiracy. I do not know the reasons.

Review: I’ve done research after research on TRT (Testosterone Replacement Therapy) and most of the negatives reported by the media are bogus at best. Like any drug, if abused, it can be harmful. But, taken as directed, side effects are kept at the minimum and the benefits, especially with testosterone, are more than worth it. There’s this negative shadow cast on TRT and testosterone therapy drugs and testosterone supplements and I’m not sure why. Women can gain hormone treatment and take meds to regulated their hormones but men are advised, by the law, to forgo it. Makes absolutely no sense. I am all for HGH, TRT, and anything that can make one’s like more beneficial. For proof you can actually “see”, just look at Sylvester Stallone, at age 64.

These are real benefits realized and counter the effects of aging, testosterone and HGH deficiencies.

Review: This is a field that is evolving. The field is better defined as ‘age management’. Most drug companies are against bio-identical hormone replacement because mainly generic products can be easily used. There is no doubt hormone replacement is helpful for aging patients. People look, feel, and function better. The key is proper dosing & monitoring, side effects quoted are minimal. The gov is shutting down internet clinics, thankfully. Patients need to see doctors, get bloodwork done, and be followed closely. Doctors should not prescribe to patients that don’t need the hormones. That prevents abuse. HGH, by all subjective accounts has a very low risk of side effects at the proper dosages, doses that replace the hormone, not raise it to levels the body hasn’t seen. Nearly all patients in their late 30s have declining HGH levels reflecting aging. HGH Replacement should be considered only in individuals whose levels are clinically documented to be very low to avoid legal issues. No study has found HGH to cause tumors. HGH only has a theoretical risk to make an existing tumor grow.

Review: One of the main problems here is in the terminology. The concept of “anti-aging” is ridiculous, since aging is an ongoing event, not a disease. People taking these medications continue to “age.” The proper term is something like age-management or healthy aging, where the strains and health conditions of aging can be addressed, pharmacologically, nutritionally, spiritually, and individually. The idea that older adults can remain active and productive longer, is the way to go.

Review: The bottom line is that many drug companies and insurance companies are all about profits, not our health. You have to take your health into your own hands. Do not trust the system in place. I am from a family full of M.D.’s. Trust me it is all about profits not making us feel better. The medical system in this country is broken and it’s all about profits not what is best for us.

Review: Whether or not these treatments are potentially harmful, no one knows. However, one thing we do know. That is, HGH levels decrease as you get older. If replenishing it makes people feel better there is no reason to outlaw it. I would rather be an active 70 than a worn out nearly dead to the world at 80 any day.
